Course Overview
The goal of this course is to immerse you in the world of ceramics, introduce you to the fundamentals of pottery, and provide practical skills that will allow you to create independently or continue learning on your path to becoming a master.
You will relax, enjoy the creative process, and craft unique handmade pieces, while the stylish atmosphere and beautiful visuals make the experience even more inspiring.
During the course, we will create 3–4 unique pieces, exploring every stage of the ceramic process — from working with clay to the final finishing touches.
In addition, you will receive two extra pieces for testing and experimenting with glazing techniques. Each piece will become a reflection of your creativity and growing craftsmanship.
You will master key techniques and leave the course with finished works, feeling proud of the results you’ve achieved.
At the end of our journey, we’ll hold a final lecture to summarize the experience — giving you the opportunity to reflect on your progress and truly see the results of your work.
In this course, you will learn
At the beginning of the journey, most people struggle with understanding how to handle the amount of new information and terminology, where to buy all the necessary materials, and, in general, how to start practicing ceramics.
In this course, we have gathered and structured information to help beginners in ceramics master all the essential knowledge and skills. We’ll help you create your first piece.
Day 1
We work in cozy mini-groups. This allows everyone to receive adequate attention, personalized guidance, and a comfortable environment for creativity.

We'll split into two groups:
Pottery Wheel – first steps in ceramics.
Hand Sculpting – mastering sculpting techniques and creating molds.
14:00 - 15:00
Lunch and coffee are time to relax.
15:00 - 18:00
Potter's wheel, hand molding.
Day 2
Day two.
Eight hours to step outside the box, get inspired by new people, and discover something new within yourself.

Turning and washing – preparing products for further work
12:30 - 14:30
Painting – the creation of decorative elements on products.
14:30 - 15:30
Glazing on 2 items - applying glaze to already cast items.
15:30 - 16:30
Lunch is a break for rest and food.
16:30 - 17:00
Lecture - theoretical part on the technique and history of the craft.
17:00 - 19:00
The presentation of diplomas and tea ceremony is the awards ceremony and the final part of the day.
In this course, you will learn
Ceramic masses are divided into three main types, and understanding their characteristics is essential to begin working with them.
Low temperature (<1080°)
Great for beginners, it's versatile and fires at low temperatures.
Porcelain
Delicate, soft, renowned for its beauty, it requires a great deal of experience and patience. It is fired at high temperatures.
High temperature (>1280°)
Ideal for creating functional items such as tableware, this mass is exceptionally strong and is what we will be working with primarily.
Sculpting
Sculpting is a beautiful and inspiring activity where you bring clay to life with your own hands, creating unique pieces without using a pottery wheel. You can practice this art at home, and then bring your finished pieces to us for firing after the course.
Modeling from a ball
The technique is suitable for creating deep items, such as a mug, bowl, or stand.
Flagella
You can create almost anything using this method! From a cup to enormous vases several meters high and wide—all you need to do is roll out the ropes and glue them together!
Modeling from plastic
You can make a huge number of interesting products from the layer; this is one of the techniques that allows you to make even, small products that will look like they were made from a circle.
Work in a circle
Pottery allows you to develop hand dexterity and attentiveness. The feelings of relaxation and concentration are reminiscent of meditation.

Decor
Decorating ceramic pieces is as much a flight of imagination as creating them.
Any available materials are used, from leaves and flowers to professional tools.
We'll learn several decorating techniques.

Glazing
This is the process of applying a vitreous coating to the surface of a clay piece. The main steps are:

During this course, you will learn and try out various glazing techniques. This is a great opportunity to experiment with colors, translucency, and texture to give your pieces a unique look.
